Marco Lodola is once again the protagonist of the International Biennial Venetian Art Festival with a site specific project entitled Ca' Lodola; an exhibition by Vittorio Sgarbi. For the 54th edition, the artist has decided to "restyle" the Cà d'Oro with lights, inspiring himself to the original project where they wanted to do it up entirely in gold, part of a complex polichromy which is inexistant today.

From the large windows of this building, owned by the Baron Giorgio Franchetti, you will be able to admire a group of the artist's luminous sculptures: couples dancing, embracing, happy, carefree, beautiful, young. Silhouettes cut out from imaginary pop and comics, creations of a happy world made up of lights and colours, very dear to the artist's repetoire "elettricista", like Lodola loves to call himself.

With this Venetian project, Marco Lodola adds a further element to his already existant and vast creative excursus which began in the 1980's with his participation in the New Futurism movement, of which he is one of the founders. His works of art are distinguished by his futuristic inspirations and his playful spectacular shows. Marco turns to the cinema, television, advertising and music audience, searching for a link with the different artistic disciplines. On every occassion, he draws new impulses and creatives stimulations, looking to adapt time and styles of art to everyday life.
It seems that it is going to be a great event.
