GLAM WITCH

Halloween, una delle feste più amate dai bambini e non solo, il 31 ottobre viene celebrarata princialmente negli Stati Uniti, ma da qualche decennio anche in tantissime altre parti del mondo. Le sue origini risalgono alla civiltà celtica. Erano infatti proprio gli antichi Celti, abitanti della Gran Bretagna, Francia e Irlanda, che festeggiavano l'inizio del nuovo anno, il 1°novembre: giorno che "dichiarava" l'arrivo del freddo e delle "tenebre".

I simboli che caratterizzano la festa di Halloween , sono macabri e paurosi, ma nello stempo misteriosamente affascinanti: la luna, la scopa, la zucca, i gatti neri, i teschi, le streghe... Quante cose si potrebbero raccontare sulle streghe! Esistono? Nel mondo della fantasia sicuramente si! Protagoniste di tantissime fiabe, buone o cattive, hanno sempre incuriosito la fantasia di tutti i bambini ( e anche la mia :-) ).

Ed è proprio da strega che ho voluto "trasformarmi": una strega glam, eterea e sognatrice.

Un lungo ed elegantissimo abito viola, capelli elegantemente raccolti , trucco e smalto leggeri e iridescenti , pochi accessori e tanta, tantissima fantasia... Un viaggio a ritroso nel tempo tra dimore medievali, immagini votive, fontane, colonne nel piccolo e magico villaggio di Grazzano in stile neo-gotico Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone...

Halloween, one of childrens most loved festivities. Celebrated mainly in the US, on the 31st of October, it has since spread right across the world. Its origins date back to the Celtics. The Celts, inhabitants of Great Britain, France and Ireland celebrated the beginning of the New Year on the 1st of November: the day they declared the arrival of the cold weather and darkness.
The symbols which characterize Halloween are macabre and scary, but at the same time mysteriously fascinating: the moon, broomstick, pumpkin, black cats, skulls, witches...So many stories could be told about witches! Do they exist? Definately in the fantasy world! They are the protaginists of so many fairytales, good and bad, and they have always intrigued both big and small's fantasies (even my own!)
And it is exactly as a witch that I wanted to transform myself: a glam witch, ethereal and dreamlike.
An elegant, long purple gown, hair elegantly pinned back, light and iridescent make-up and nail-varnish, just a few accessories and lots  and lots of fantasy... a journey back in time between medieval dwellings, votive images, fountains, columns, all in the small and magical village of Grazzano, typically neo-gothic Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone style....

THINKING POP

Un massiccio ricorso ai colori  Pop, acidi, fluo; tra i trend piu' gettonati per questa primavera estate 2012, parola d'ordine: osare, specialmente nel make up, che non passa di certo inosservato. Questo il mood del  nostro nuovo shooting ; colore, colore, colore :-) .
Location ideale quella dell'artista  Stefano Bressani, ( ved. anche: http://bimbi-dotgirl.blogspot.com/2012/03/le-sculture-vestite-di-stefano-bressani.html ) che con le sue "sculture vestite" apre così il panorama su un nuovo modo di pensare, vedere e concepire l’arte. L’arte attraverso la quale Bressani si esprime è di tipo figurativo con chiari riferimenti alla Pop Art, o meglio alla New Pop(ular) Art. L’arte deve essere capace di coesistere in tre diversi mondi: Arte, Design e Moda. Il filo conduttore che lega questi mondi è la Stoffa. Solo Stoffe che arrivano da vestiti, scelti e smembrati per ricavarne trame, colori e spessori.


A huge comeback to colour; pop, acids, fluo are amongst the trendiest colours for this Spring Summer 2012. The code word: dare, especially with the make-up, which doesn’t go unobserved. This is the mood for our new shooting; colour, colour, colour J   
The ideal location is that of artist Stefano Bressani ( also see: http://bimbi-dotgirl.blogspot.com/2012/03/le-sculture-vestite-di-stefano-bressani.html ) who, with his “dressed sculptures” opens a new world on thinking, seeing and understanding art. The way in which Stefano Bressani expresses himself is figurative, with distinct references to pop Art, or more importantly New Pop(ular) Art. Art needs to be able to co-exist in three different worlds: Art, Design and Fashion. The main element which ties together these worlds is Fabric. Only fabrics that are used for clothes, are chosen and disected to obtain texture, weave and colour.

WHO'S WHO...

Stavolta non sono i vestiti i protagonisti assoluti di questo servizio, ma il mood. Due sessi che si "fondono,"senza capire dove finisce l'uno e dove inizia l'altro, non c'è confine, non c'è limite.. Ambiguo, forse , ma in fondo ognuno di noi ha dentro di sè una parte segretamente nascosta e custodita...

This time round, the clothes are not the protagonists of the shoot, but the mood. Two sexes that "blend"  without truly understanding where one starts and the other finishes. There is no boundary, there is no limit....maybe a little ambiguous, but at the end of the day, each and every one of us, deep inside, holds a hidden and well guarded secret......

FASHION GYM

E stavolta eccomi in versione gym, non potevo non dedicare un post a quello che e' uno dei miei hobby preferiti: palastra, esercizio fisico, impossibile per me farne a meno. Outfit decisamente vivace: t-shirt a righe, pantaloncini in felpa, "ciclisti" di pizzo, nike coloratissime.
Gli attrezzi che vedete sono quelli dell'allenamento funzionale, disciplina total body di grandissimo impatto.
I gioielli che indosso rappresentano le kettlebells, miniature di uno degli strumenti più utilizzati in questo tipo di allenamento, ciondoli in versione luxury in argento 925 e Swarovsky e nei modelli Ghiri con combinazioni di colori e modelli personalizzabili, unite con le collezioni Sugar Skull e Stars.

And this time here I am in my gym version. I couldn't not dedicate a post to my favourite hobby: gym, physical exercise, impossible to go without. Definately a lively outfit: stripy t.shirt, fleece shorts, lace cyclist shorts, colorful nike.
The equipment you see are for practical work-outs, a discipline for the total body which has a huge impact.
The jewels that I'm wearing represent the kettlebells, a miniature of the equipment used in this type of training; luxury version pendants in 925 silver and Swarovsky and in the Ghiri designs with a combination of colours and customizable designs, together with the Sugar Skull and Stars collection.

tUn bellissimo teatro, il Martinetti di Garlasco,direi un "gioiellino" talmente perfetto da assomigliare ad una casa delle bambole dell'800..Stavolta e' questa la location del nostro nuovo shooting, rappresentazione perfetta per l'interpretazione che abbiamo voluto dare ai meravigliosi abiti e gioielli che indosso di Stefania Falchi . "Mi sono trasformata" in una sorta di ballerina e spettatrice solitaria, sognante e maliconica... ricordi d'oriente, ricordi che non vanno piu' via, ricordi che mai dimentichero'. In giro tra palco, palchetti e platea, in cerca di qualcosa, qualcosa che realmente non esiste, ma che " mi vivra' " sempre dentro...

A beautiful theatre, The Martinetti in Garlasco, is a "jewel" which is identical to an 1800's dolls house...this is the location for our new photoshoot, a perfect picture for the interpretation that we wanted to give to the Stefania Falchi outfits and jewels that I'll be wearing. " I transformed myself" into a type of ballerina and solo spectator, dreamlike and melancholy....orient memories, memories that no longer disappear, memories that I'll never forget. Around the theatre between the boxes, bandstand and stalls, looking for something, something that really doesn't exist, but which will "live" inside me forever...

DOTGIRL for SERGEI GRINKO

Atlantis, la città scomparsa, è anche il nome della nuova collezione donna di Sergei Grinko per la primavera/estate 2012. Abbiamo deciso di interpretare gli abiti di questa anteprima, che verrà a breve presentata alla stampa, con due outfit che interpretano le due tipologie di donne che abbiamo immaginato come cittadine della città scomparsa: una donna bon ton e una creatura aliena, scary, visionaria.

I due look vengono interpretati come una visione del presente e del futuro, come un’interpretazione dello stile e una proposta nella costante ricerca che trova in Dotgirl un punto di riferimento.


The hidden city of Atlantis is also the name given to Sergei Grinko's new woman's spring/summer 2012 collection. With the outfits in this preview, which will shortly be presented to the press, we have tried to interpret the two types of women which we imagine could live in a city like the hidden city: a bon ton woman and a scary alien creature.

The two visions are seen as one from the present and one from the future, and they are an nterpretation of style and a point of reference that is always found in Dotgirl.

THE DARK SIDE OF MY RETRO' SOUL

Una vecchia vasca da bagno, dischi 33, e 45 giri, un pelushe gorilla degli anni '70, candelabri di fine '800... libri antichi... qualche foto del mio primo viaggio in India. Voglia di" assaporare , annusare, sentire", oggetti e cose che normalmente non si guardano piu'... Ricordare certi momenti, "riviverli"..
Tutto in versione un po' nostalgica e noir..ma sempre glam... ogni cosa rispecchia perfettamente la mia anima, la mia voglia di "tornare indietro". Paura, forse si..ma e' solo uno stato d'animo, poi passa... come ogni cosa.....

An old bath tub, a 33 and 45 rpm, a 1970's gorilla teddy, an 1800's chandelier....antique books....a few photos of my first trip to India.  An intense desire to "taste, smell, hear" objects and things that you no longer look at...remember certain moments, reveal them... All of this in a very nostalgic and noir mood...it all perfectly reflects my inner soul, my desire to "go back". Maybe for fear.....but it's only a state of mind....it'll pass by.....like everything.....

Un classico intramontabile...io l'ho interpretato a modo mio...minimal ma sempre con quel tocco di ironia che mi rappresenta. Pochi scatti "diretti ed incisivi"...la frase sull'anello , per me una specie di portafotuna."Niente è per caso".

A timeless classic...I interpreted it in my own way.....minimal but always with a touch of irony that represents me as a person. Just a few, bold and incisive shots ...the phrase on the ring is sort of my luckycharm "Nothing is by chance".

FASHION CRIME SCENE

Sembra che il ritrovamento di Dotgirl sia avvenuto questa mattina all'ex Necchi, una delle più grandi aree dismesse di Pavia. Sulla scena del delitto sono state trovate molte tracce fashion, ma non vogliamo tralasciare nessuna ipotesi.

It seems that the discovery of Dotgirl's body occurred this morning at the ex Necchi site, one of the biggest disued areas in Pavia. Many fashion clues were found at the scene of the crime, but we don't want to hazard any guesses.

Per me oggi Roberto ha realizzato un look semplice, raffinato, dai toni naturali, adatto per qualsiasi occasione! I suoi consigli sono stati veramente preziosi ! Presto realizzeremo insieme un servizio in stile "Lady Gaga" ...la trasformazione e la provocazione saranno assicurate !

He has collaborated with Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, Alexander Mc Queen, Yohji Yamamoto and the Lookbook for Dolce&Gabbana, D&G in the world of fashion. He has collaborated with a variety of showrooms and has participated in the Dolce&Gabbana catwalks, with Lola Lennox, Tali Lennox, Alice Dellal and Rachel Weisz. On TV he has worked with the italian and polish edition of the show of Records, doing hair and make-up for both Katerina Stikoudi and Barbara d’Urso.
