LOUIS VUITTON : THE ART OF FASHION @ Triennale

Louis Vuitton rende omaggio al savoir-faire delle proprie collezioni di ready-to-wear e alla creatività del Direttore Artistico, Marc Jacobs, con una mostra curata da Katie Grand intitolata: “Louis Vuitton: The Art of Fashion”.
La mostra fornisce un punto di vista esclusivo sugli universi comunicanti della moda e dell’arte, che si fondono nelle creazioni di Marc Jacobs per Louis Vuitton. Il lavoro compiuto da Katie Grand su più di 70 collezioni permette ai visitatori di riscoprire la costante ricerca di eccellenza, artigianalità, così come l’approccio moderno alla moda di Louis Vuitton.
Per Katie Grand, che ha lavorato a stretto contatto con Marc Jacobs dal 2003, Louis Vuitton ha aperto le porte del proprio archivio storico, mettendo a disposizione abiti, borse e accessori appartenenti a tutte le collezioni dalla prima dell’Autunno-Inverno 1998-1999 fino all’Autunno-Inverno 2011-2012.
Il risultato sono 30 look emblematici creati a partire dai pezzi più significativi delle differenti collezioni, dagli abiti “coiffeuse” ai cappotti e gonne voluminose, che Katie Grand ha mescolato sapientemente per sottolinearne la natura moderna e senza tempo.


Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the savoir-faire of its ready-to-wear collections and to the creativity of the Artistic Director Marc Jacobs with an exhibition closely followed by Katie Grand: “Louis Vuitton: The Art of Fashion”.
The exhibition reveals a unique point of view on the communicating universes of fashion and art, which merge magnificently into Marc Jacobs’ creations for Louis Vuitton. Katie Grand's project of working on more than 70 collections allows visitors to re-discover Louis Vuitton's constant quest for excellence, craftsmanship as well as appreciate its modern approach to fashion.
Just for Katie Grand, who has been working closely with Marc Jacobs since 2003 on the fashion shows’ styling, Louis Vuitton opened the doors of its historical archives, thus giving her free access to dresses, bags and accessories from all the Louis Vuitton collections: from the first Fall-Winter 1998-1999  season up to the most recent Fall-Winter 2011-2012 season.
The result consists in 30 symbolic outfits from the most significant pieces of the various collections, from “coiffeuse” dresses to coats and large skirts, which Katie Grand skillfully mixed to highlight a timeless nature and modernity.

SPERIMENTHAL DESIGN @ Triennale

Simmenthal e IED Centro Ricerche insieme per un grande progetto di “Sperimenthal design” allo spazio Materia Connexion. 6 Designer, selezionati all’interno del network IED, hanno realizzato nel mese di maggio 10 progetti di Design con l’intento di valorizzare l’iconicità della storica lattina di Simmenthal.

Simmenthal and IED Research Centre have joined up together  for an important project; "Sperimenthal Design" in exhibition at the Materia Connexion hall. 6 designers, chosen internally from the IED network, in the month of May worked on 10 Design projects with the intent of enhancing the iconic Simmenthal tin.

Oggi visita alla mostra Graphic Design Worlds alla Triennale di Milano...allestimenti e installazioni su 1.500mq ideati dai designer stessi..i più grandi nomi internazionali e italiani ci faranno vivere un percorso ricco di suggestioni sensoriali, capace di offrire ai visitatori nuove prospettive e “lenti” con cui tornare a guardare il mondo della vita quotidiana.

Today we visited the Graphic Design Worlds exhibition at the Triennale in Milan...displays and interior designs set on 1.500sq created by the designers themselves...the biggest international and national names will walk us through a sensorial and suggestive path, which will offer the visitor a new perspective and a "lens" with which to look back at our daily lives.
