BRAD PITT for CHANEL N.5 @ TERRAZZA MARTINI MILANO

Doppio appuntamento martedì 16 ottobre nella meravigliosa e notissima location milanese Terrazza Martini in Piazza Diaz: presentazione ufficiale del nuovo amministratore delegato Italia della Maison Pierre-Yves Wecxsteen e lancio in anteprima del nuovo spot di Chanel n°5, fragranza (composta da 80 ingredienti "moderni" per l'epoca in cui è stato creato, 1921 ) che da sempre rappresenta lo stile inequivocabile, ribelle e anticonformista di Mademoiselle Coco. Vista la scelta quasi "provocatoria" del nuovo testimonial, sembra sia stata proprio lei a decidere, che a rappresentare la sua essenza, stavolta fosse proprio un uomo. Ma che uomo! Si proprio lui: la super star holliwoodiana Brad Pitt.

Il film, diretto dal grande regista Joe Wright, è in bianco e nero, con l'attore che parla rivolto verso la telecamera. Minimalista, ma di grande impatto visivo, lo spot mette in risalto la sensualissima voce di Brad, che sembra recitare una poesia a un amore perduto, parole che evocano sogni e ricordi lontanissimi. Un romanticismo nostalgico e "ambiguo" che ci riporta indietro nel tempo...
Un pomeriggio rigorosamente "in stile" Chanel: "pulito e delicatamente minimal" in ogni singolo dettaglio. Onorata e felice di aver conosciuto il nuovo Amministratore delegato Chanel Italia! Ma diciamoci la verità, se all'evento ci fosse stato Brad, il tutto sarebbe stato decisamente piu' speciale ed intrigante ;-) ...

A double appointment on Tuesday 16th October in the magnificent and well-known Milanese location; Terrazza Martini in Piazza Diaz. The official presentation of Pierre-Yves Wecxsteen, new Managing Director Italy for the maison, aswell as a preview of the new Chanel n°5 advertising campaign (made up of 80 “modern” ingredients considering the time in which it was created in 1921) which has always represented the unequivocal, rebellious and anticonformist Mademoiselle Coco herself. Seeing the almost “provocative” choice of the new testimonial, it seems as though the person were chosen directly by her. Someone who represents her essence, and this time it’s a man. But what a man! Yes, exactly him: the Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt.

The film, directed by the brilliant director Joe Wright, is in black and white, with the actor talking and facing the camera. Minimalist, but with a huge visual impact, the ad enhances Brad’s sensual voice, which seems to be reciting a poen to a lost love, words which evoke dreams and far off memories. A highly nostalgic romanticism and “ambiguous” which brings us back in time…

A rigourously Chanel afternoon: “clean and delicately minimal” in every single detail. Honoured and happy to have met the new Managing Director Chanel Italy! But let the truth be told, if Brad had been at the event, everything would have been that extra bit more special and intriguing ;-) …
