GLAM WITCH

Halloween, una delle feste più amate dai bambini e non solo, il 31 ottobre viene celebrarata princialmente negli Stati Uniti, ma da qualche decennio anche in tantissime altre parti del mondo. Le sue origini risalgono alla civiltà celtica. Erano infatti proprio gli antichi Celti, abitanti della Gran Bretagna, Francia e Irlanda, che festeggiavano l'inizio del nuovo anno, il 1°novembre: giorno che "dichiarava" l'arrivo del freddo e delle "tenebre".

I simboli che caratterizzano la festa di Halloween , sono macabri e paurosi, ma nello stempo misteriosamente affascinanti: la luna, la scopa, la zucca, i gatti neri, i teschi, le streghe... Quante cose si potrebbero raccontare sulle streghe! Esistono? Nel mondo della fantasia sicuramente si! Protagoniste di tantissime fiabe, buone o cattive, hanno sempre incuriosito la fantasia di tutti i bambini ( e anche la mia :-) ).

Ed è proprio da strega che ho voluto "trasformarmi": una strega glam, eterea e sognatrice.

Un lungo ed elegantissimo abito viola, capelli elegantemente raccolti , trucco e smalto leggeri e iridescenti , pochi accessori e tanta, tantissima fantasia... Un viaggio a ritroso nel tempo tra dimore medievali, immagini votive, fontane, colonne nel piccolo e magico villaggio di Grazzano in stile neo-gotico Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone...

Halloween, one of childrens most loved festivities. Celebrated mainly in the US, on the 31st of October, it has since spread right across the world. Its origins date back to the Celtics. The Celts, inhabitants of Great Britain, France and Ireland celebrated the beginning of the New Year on the 1st of November: the day they declared the arrival of the cold weather and darkness.
The symbols which characterize Halloween are macabre and scary, but at the same time mysteriously fascinating: the moon, broomstick, pumpkin, black cats, skulls, witches...So many stories could be told about witches! Do they exist? Definately in the fantasy world! They are the protaginists of so many fairytales, good and bad, and they have always intrigued both big and small's fantasies (even my own!)
And it is exactly as a witch that I wanted to transform myself: a glam witch, ethereal and dreamlike.
An elegant, long purple gown, hair elegantly pinned back, light and iridescent make-up and nail-varnish, just a few accessories and lots  and lots of fantasy... a journey back in time between medieval dwellings, votive images, fountains, columns, all in the small and magical village of Grazzano, typically neo-gothic Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone style....

OUTFIT POST : 3 IN 1

Tre eventi, in tre diversi momenti della giornata. Non avere la possibiltà di tornare a casa  e cambiarsi. Come fare in questi casi "disperati" :-) ?  Semplice: basta partire da un abito nero (sempre grandissimo alleato) e cambiare capospalla e accessori.

Per la mattina, sopra l'abito di Gazel in velluto e visosa ho abbinato un cappotto in maglia reverse con disegni jaquard (sempre di Gazel), la divertentissima shopping bag di Le Pandorine by Mad. Maxi occhiali neri e zeppe scamosciate open toe con cinturino alla cavaglia di Zara.

Quest'invero il rosso è tra il colori must, abbinato nella giusta maniera risulta elegante e chic. Per l'evento pomeridiano Chanel, ho deciso di indossare un cappotto rosso maniche 3/4  dallo stile decisamente '60 di Laura Mancini. Ho voluto aggiungere un ulteriore tocco chic e retrò col cappello modello cloche in lana, con disegni in tweed e cinturino in pelle di Marzi Firenze.

Per la sera, qualcosa che luccichi un pò non guasta mai. Così ho cambiato le scarpe indossando delle mary jane platform scamosciate con dettagli glitter di Miu Miu. Rigorosamente una borsa più piccola per la sera, quella che ho scelto è una maxi pochette in pitone di Beirn.

Nei tre "cambi"  ho sempre indossato le meravigliosi gioielli hand made made Criselle Creazioni della mia cara amica Ceristiana Ciuti. Semplici e raffinatissimi, perfetti in qualsiasi momento della giornata.

Ed è stato così che "equipaggiandomi" nella giusta maniera ho creato il mio outfit 3 in 1 per tre differenti eventi della giornata... semplice no?! ;-)

Three events in three different times of the day. Not having the chance to pop back home to get changed. What do you do in these desperate situations? Simple: Just as long as you start off with a little black dress (always a faithful friend) and change coat and accessories.

For the morning, ontop of my velvet and viscose Gazel dress I wore a jersey, jacquard print coat (also by Gazel) with the fun Le Pandorine by Mad shopping bag. Big black sunglasses and open toe suede wedges with ankle strap by Zara.

This winter red is  must-have colour for the season, which when matched correctly is elegant and chic. For the afternoon Chanel event, I decided to wear a ¾ sleeve red coat; a decisively 60’s Laura Mancini look. I wanted to add a special chic and retrò touch with the woollen cloche hat; tweed with a leather strap by Marzi Firenze.

For the evening, someting that sparkle never does any harm. Therefore I changed my shoes and wore some Miu Miu suede mary jane platforms with glitter details. A rigourously smaller bag for the evening, and the one I chose was a python maxi pochette by Beirn.

In all three “changes” I always wore the handmade Criselle Creazioni jewels, made by my dear friend Ceristiana Ciuti. Simple and sophisticated, and perfect for any moment in the day.

And it was in this way, that “equipping” myself in the right way was able to create my 3 in 1 outfits for different occasions in the day….simple, don’t you think?! ;-)

                                                                          

FLOWER DRESS BY GULHAN OZER

Quest'outfit è dedicato al favoloso abito della giovane designer di origine turca Gulhan Ozer. Una raffinatissima ed elegantissima dea greca moderna; bella, eterea. Questa l'immagine di donna alla quale Gulhan si ispira per le sue collezioni.

Le linee sono semplici e pulite, i tessuti fluidi, morbidi, poco aderenti, coloratissime stampe floreali dalle nuance iper femminili. La sua è una continua ricerca nel passato, nell'arte e nel bello, in ogni suo aspetto.

E' solo da un paio di mesi che conosco questa griffe; ho indossato per la prima volta un paio dei suoi favolosi short floreali durante la serata inaugurale del Convivio il 7 giugno. 

Adoro le sue creazioni, sono incredibilmente chic. Mi sembra di tornare indietro di scatto nel tempo, attraversando il passato in uno stile colorato e un tocco glamour che magicamente riportano al presente e al futuro.

Pochi accessori ma essenziali. Mi piace l'effetto che fa la collana bouquet art dèco comprata a Londra un paio di anni fa; sembra proprio "sbocciare" dal vestito, come se fosse un tutt'uno con la stampa fiorata che l'accoglie. Semplicemente così ho voluto interpretare il meraviglioso tubino di Gulhan Ozer.


This outfit is dedicated to the wonderful outfit by the young Turkish designer Gulhan Ozer. A modern sophisticated and elegant Greek goddess; beautiful and eternal. This is the type of woman which inspires Gulhan's collections.
The lines are clean cut and simple, with soft flowy fabrics, loose fitting and colourful flowery prints with highly feminine nuance. Her mission is a continuous search in the past, in Art and all its beauty. I have only known this brand for a few months now. I wore a pair of her fabulous flowery shorts for the very first time at the Convivio's inaugural evening on the 7th of June.
I adore her creations, I find them incredibly chic. I feel like I've taken a step back in time, walking through a colourful and glamourous past, which magically brings you back to the present and the future.
Only a few, but essential accessories. I like the art déco bouquet necklaces' special effect; a necklace I bought in London a few years ago. It seems as though its one in itself, blossoming from the dress itself. And it is in this way that I wanted to interpret Gulhan Ozer's wonderful sheath dress.

POOR WEALTHY @ MAISON MOSCHINO

Le t-shirt sono un pò come le scarpe, non bastano proprio mai, più ne hai e più ne vorresti. Capo predominante del nostro guardaroba e da sempre grande alleata per il nostro look, comoda e pratica, perfetta coi jeans e non solo, la t-shirt ci permette di esprimere liberamente il nostro stato d'animo.

Ironiche, scherzose e divertentissime quelle di Poor Wealthy, che letteralmente tradotto sta per "poveri ricchi". Il messaggio è chiaro e diretto; queste t-shirt vogliono chiaramente esprimere e  trasmettere qualcosa di forte, anche scherzoso, una sorta di presa in giro della nostra società che sempre più vede l’aumentare di ostentazioni, esibizioni compiaciute e vistose, spesso esagerate ed artefatte. Rigorosamente made In Italy, Poor Wealthy è sinonimo di stile e qualità. Quella che indosso in questo post è la "Come te nessuno mai". Data l'importante circostanza e la nota location super fashion ( mi trovavo alla Maison Moschino a Milano in occasione della Conferenza Stampa per la presentazione del più grande outlet premium francese: The West Paris Outlet. http://bimbi-dotgirl.blogspot.it/2012/05/west-paris-outlet.html) ho voluto dare alla t-shirt un tono più glam-chic, indossandola con una longuette di jersey rossa e delle decollettè platform scamosciate. Il total look, risulta cosi' formale ma allo stesso tempo non troppo "impegnativo", perfetto per il giorno.

Sono veramente tante le possibilità di interpretare una "semplice" t-shirt, sbizzarritevi e divertitevi quindi e andate a scoprire il mondo di  Poor Wealthy :-) !

T-shirts are a little like shoes, they're never enough. The more you have, the more you want. It is the main item of clothing in our wardrobe and has been an essential part of our look for centuries, comfortable and practical, perfect with jeans, but not only. A t-shirt allows us to freely express our mood.
Poor Wealthy's t-shirts are ironic and fun. The message is bold and direct; these t-shirts want to clearly express and communicate something strong, but yet fun, a sort of pun of our society which is constantly witnessing an increase in ostentation, complacent and garish exhibitionis, very often exaggerated and unnatural. Rigourously Made in Italy, Poor Wealthy is the synonm of style and quality.The one I'm wearing in this post is the "Like you no-one else". Given the important circumstances and the prestigious fashion location (I was at Maison Moschino in Milan for the Press Conference for the presentation of the biggest French premium outlet: The West Paris Outlet http://bimbi-dotgirl.blogspot.it/2012/05/west-paris-outlet.html) I wanted to give the t-shirt a little glam-chic touch by wearing a longuette jersey skirt with some suede decollète wedges. The total look appears to be formal but at the same time not too "engaging", perfect for that day.
There really are many different ways to interpret a "simple" t-shirt, so go crazy and have fun and go discover Poor Wealthy's world  :-)!

PAVIA - MILANO ANDATA E RITORNO

E stavolta in "viaggio" con la nuova linea S13 di Trenord, la nuova linea sub-urbana che garantisce un collegamento costante tra Pavia e Milano, la soluzione ottimale per raggiungere il centro di Milano in modo rapido ed economico.
Un appuntamento importante ci attendeva, non possiamo ancora svelarvi nulla, vedrete tutto prossimamente nell'area personal shopper di style.it :-).
Un' outfit "spezzato", dallo spirito "city glam", foto scattate in stazione, in treno e a Milano, un modo  diverso  di come interpretare e  "portare in giro la moda" a modo mio... :-)

And this time a "trip" with the new line S13 Trenord, the new sub-urban line that guarantees a constant link between Pavia and Milan, the best way to reach the centre of Milan rapidly and cheaply.

A "different" kind of outfit with a touch of "city glam", photos taken in the station, on the train and in Milan. A very different way of interpreting the saying "take the fashion around"....in my own way though... :-)

Small “jewels” of size and craftsmanship: 46 designs, completely made by hand in 17 different matching tones and 12 different elaborations, creating a kaleidoscope of combinations and colours.
Valuable materials such as crocodile, ostrich, tejus and python are matched alongside lurex jacquard and sablè, patch brocade and glitter, embellished with an embroidery of studs and crystals, closely follow a sophisticated game of contrasts.
Each bag is a unique piece, certified by an id card and a mini book which displays all the 46 possible variants. Today I had the great pleasure of meeting and interviewing Anotnio (Toni) Belloni, General Director LVMH, Moet Hennessy - Louis Vuitton in the Courtyard of Statues at the University of Pavia, on the occassion of the 650th of the Ateneo Foundation. His tales, his advice and his infinite experiences definately enchanted me.

Oggi visita alla mostra Graphic Design Worlds alla Triennale di Milano...allestimenti e installazioni su 1.500mq ideati dai designer stessi..i più grandi nomi internazionali e italiani ci faranno vivere un percorso ricco di suggestioni sensoriali, capace di offrire ai visitatori nuove prospettive e “lenti” con cui tornare a guardare il mondo della vita quotidiana.

Today we visited the Graphic Design Worlds exhibition at the Triennale in Milan...displays and interior designs set on 1.500sq created by the designers themselves...the biggest international and national names will walk us through a sensorial and suggestive path, which will offer the visitor a new perspective and a "lens" with which to look back at our daily lives.
