FLOWER DRESS BY GULHAN OZER

Quest'outfit è dedicato al favoloso abito della giovane designer di origine turca Gulhan Ozer. Una raffinatissima ed elegantissima dea greca moderna; bella, eterea. Questa l'immagine di donna alla quale Gulhan si ispira per le sue collezioni.

Le linee sono semplici e pulite, i tessuti fluidi, morbidi, poco aderenti, coloratissime stampe floreali dalle nuance iper femminili. La sua è una continua ricerca nel passato, nell'arte e nel bello, in ogni suo aspetto.

E' solo da un paio di mesi che conosco questa griffe; ho indossato per la prima volta un paio dei suoi favolosi short floreali durante la serata inaugurale del Convivio il 7 giugno. 

Adoro le sue creazioni, sono incredibilmente chic. Mi sembra di tornare indietro di scatto nel tempo, attraversando il passato in uno stile colorato e un tocco glamour che magicamente riportano al presente e al futuro.

Pochi accessori ma essenziali. Mi piace l'effetto che fa la collana bouquet art dèco comprata a Londra un paio di anni fa; sembra proprio "sbocciare" dal vestito, come se fosse un tutt'uno con la stampa fiorata che l'accoglie. Semplicemente così ho voluto interpretare il meraviglioso tubino di Gulhan Ozer.


This outfit is dedicated to the wonderful outfit by the young Turkish designer Gulhan Ozer. A modern sophisticated and elegant Greek goddess; beautiful and eternal. This is the type of woman which inspires Gulhan's collections.
The lines are clean cut and simple, with soft flowy fabrics, loose fitting and colourful flowery prints with highly feminine nuance. Her mission is a continuous search in the past, in Art and all its beauty. I have only known this brand for a few months now. I wore a pair of her fabulous flowery shorts for the very first time at the Convivio's inaugural evening on the 7th of June.
I adore her creations, I find them incredibly chic. I feel like I've taken a step back in time, walking through a colourful and glamourous past, which magically brings you back to the present and the future.
Only a few, but essential accessories. I like the art déco bouquet necklaces' special effect; a necklace I bought in London a few years ago. It seems as though its one in itself, blossoming from the dress itself. And it is in this way that I wanted to interpret Gulhan Ozer's wonderful sheath dress.

NEW MODERN VINTAGE

Un outfit che ha lo spirito vintage, ma non lo è affatto. Ci sono degli elementi come l'ombrellino parasole di Gazel e l'abito romantico di Luckylu che ci riportano indietro nel tempo. L'ombrello parasole ha origini antichissime: i primissimi modelli risalgono ai primi del XIII secolo A.C. Non ancora completamente capito, rappresentava un accessorio scomodo da esibire e portare in giro. E' solo  con il XVIII secolo che l'ombrello, grazie ai grandi progressi tecnologici, divenne leggero e maneggevole. Si trasforma così in un vero e proprio accessorio di moda, ma non solo. Col passare degli anni  l'ombrello rappresenta un accessorio fondamentale e utile  per proteggere il viso dal sole e mantenere la pelle candida, requisito fondamentale per tutte le donne del XIX secolo.
L'abito sembra quasi una sottoveste, ricorda gli anni '40. "Casto, romantico" e molto femminile, con dettagli di ricami sul fondo. Hanno qualcosa di retrò anche i sandali effetto pitone del noto stilista americano Sam Edelman. Bracciali  e orecchini invece iper moderni ma della linee semplici e pulite, che riprendono i meravigliosi colori accesi e vivaci dell'ombrello. Di gomma profumatissima i bracciali che sembrano delle catene di "Le Pandorine" e in acciaio lucidissimo gli orecchini con elementi intercambiabili Secretly by Breil jewls.
Un mix quindi di elementi ispirati al passato, con accenti più contemporanei, per un outfit dal giusto equilibrio modern vintage :) !

An outfit with a vintage spirit, but it isn't like that at all. There are items such as the Gazel parasol and the Luckylu dress that bring us back in time. The parasol has very ancient origins: the very first designs date back to the beginning of the XIII century A.C. Still not completely understood, it represented an uncomfortable accessory to take around. It's only with the arrival of the XVIII century, thanks to technological advances, that it became lightweight and easy to handle. It is in this way that it has become an essential accessory and fashion item.With the passing of time, the umbrella became an essential accessory and useful for facial protection against the sunshine in order to maintain a very candid skin, e requisite for all women in the XIX century.
The dress seems like a petticoat and reminds us of the 1940's. "Chaste, romantic" and very feminine, with embroidery details. Even the python sandals by american stylist Sam Edelman have a retrò effect. The earrings are however modern with simple clen-cut lines, which enhance the bold and vivacious umbrella colours. "Le Pandorine" scented rubber bracelets which are like chains and the Secretly by Briel shiny steel earrings with interchangeable elements.
Therefore a mix of elements inspired by the past, but with hint of contemporary, for a perfectly balanced modern vintage look :) !
