GOYO CASHMERE FASHION COMPANY

Today, Govo is one of the most important companies with the highest level of cashmere production in Mongolia thanks to a project, called TAM, which started in September 2006 by the European Investment Bank (BEI) which had the intention of helping under-developed countries make use of their primaries materials.
Paolo Camerano, thanks to much experience in this sector, and Geraldine Alasio, became the final link to this chain with the distribution of the merchandise; a chain which saw many people involved in making Goyo , a vertical company with more than 700 employees and a high quality final product.
At the beginning of the project, the company had many problems: an absence of funds to pay for the primary materials and stimulate production; export markets were closed.
In 2005 M.C.S. an important Mongolian group, head to many businesses such as software, construction….decided to invest in cashmere and hence bought GOYO.
This led to the first conisitent increase in quality and production.
In the very first moths of 2006 M.C.S. decided to sell 51% of GOYO to an important Hong Kong group…
At this point the resources were no longer lacking. What was needed was the know-how to profit from its great potential.
The visit trip to Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia e GOYO’s base, goes back to September 2006; the last being May 2011.
A team made up of a co-ordinator, a supervisor, technicians, stylists, knitters…and us (the distribution), had to face the first and most visible problems of a company in a developing country:
Managerial skills were lacking and hence brought about a great loss of money.
Technical Problems:  the new owner didn’t have any experience in the cashmere industry
Staff which was dedicated to the commercial side and marketing only had work experience within their country and no experience whatsoever in the foreign markets
The problems were solve dover 3years: the italian experience gave positive results.
Italian managers, who graduated from the best american universities substituted unqualified staff and started teaching young people with a desire to grow and learn in the world of International trade.
All the production was slowly moved from handlooms to german machinery.
Our technicians were able to teach the Mongolians how to use complicated programmes on their PC’s.
The women who follone the designs were taught by Italian stylists how to under stand proprortions, trends, colours, fashion…
And hence, the export market, thanks to an adequate distribution has become a vital element to the GOYO business
Goyo has made a mission from its product authenticity, providing the best cashmere to all sophisticated and demanding consumers.

A new collaboration with the showroom Cashmere started in June, and this is the first of four photocalls dedicated to the LAVENHAM brand.
Cashmere was born in Biella 1987, an idea by Roberto Camerano with the intention of making his brand reach the best shops in Italy.
The quality of selected brands, consistency and great professionalism, brought about the opening of this showroom in Milan in the early 90’s, firstly in Via Canova and then in the present location of Via Ludovico Ariosto.
Thanks to the base in Verrone, which opened in 1994, Cashmere has become an important reality; of distribution and a clothes shop.
As of 2007, there has been a collaboration with Gèraldine Alasio which responds to a need of something new and hence offers the opportunity of international openings.
