VITAMINIC SURFER BY H&M

Uno dei trend di quest'estate, sono state le mini mute in neoprene, ispirate al mondo dei surfisti.
Infatti per praticare questo sport, la scelta della muta giusta è un aspetto fondamentale; permette infatti ai surfisti di “uscire” in completa sicurezza e con una adeguata protezione termica dall ‘acqua gelida e dal vento dell’oceano.
Un paio di mesi fa da H&M, sono rimasta incantata e folgorata da questa meravigliosa tutina dai vivacissimi colori vitaminici. Non sapevo esattamente ancora come utilizzarla, ma di una cosa ero certa: doveva essere mia!
Certo, sarebbe stato perfetto scattare queste foto sulle spiagge californiane col vento che scompiglia i capelli e onde che si infrangono sulla sabbia...Ma "ahimè" non si puo' proprio realizzare tutto cio' che si vorrebbe:(
Cosi' ho voluto a modo mio, interpretare la tutina dalle tinte shocking e dettagli-cerniera di H&M, su un bordo piscina alla calda luce del tramonto con un tocco ironico e rock ;)

One of this summers trends have been the mini neoprene wetsuits, inspired by the world of surfers. Infact, the correct choice of wetsuit is essential in order to take part in this sport. It allows surfers to go out to sea in complete safety and with an adequate thermic protection against the ice-cold sea and ocean winds.
A few months ago I was enchanted and struck by this amazing vivaciously coloured wetsuit in H&M. I didn't exactly know how to use it, but I was sure of one thing: that it had to be mine!
Ofcourse, it would have been perfect to snap some shots on a Californian beach with the wind blowing through your hair and the waves splashing on the beach...but "alas" you can't do  absolutely everything that you'd like :(
Therefore, in my own way, I wanted to interpret this H&M suit with such shocking colours and evident zip on the side of the pool under the warm dusk light with an ironic and rock touch ;)

FLOWER DRESS BY GULHAN OZER

Quest'outfit è dedicato al favoloso abito della giovane designer di origine turca Gulhan Ozer. Una raffinatissima ed elegantissima dea greca moderna; bella, eterea. Questa l'immagine di donna alla quale Gulhan si ispira per le sue collezioni.

Le linee sono semplici e pulite, i tessuti fluidi, morbidi, poco aderenti, coloratissime stampe floreali dalle nuance iper femminili. La sua è una continua ricerca nel passato, nell'arte e nel bello, in ogni suo aspetto.

E' solo da un paio di mesi che conosco questa griffe; ho indossato per la prima volta un paio dei suoi favolosi short floreali durante la serata inaugurale del Convivio il 7 giugno. 

Adoro le sue creazioni, sono incredibilmente chic. Mi sembra di tornare indietro di scatto nel tempo, attraversando il passato in uno stile colorato e un tocco glamour che magicamente riportano al presente e al futuro.

Pochi accessori ma essenziali. Mi piace l'effetto che fa la collana bouquet art dèco comprata a Londra un paio di anni fa; sembra proprio "sbocciare" dal vestito, come se fosse un tutt'uno con la stampa fiorata che l'accoglie. Semplicemente così ho voluto interpretare il meraviglioso tubino di Gulhan Ozer.


This outfit is dedicated to the wonderful outfit by the young Turkish designer Gulhan Ozer. A modern sophisticated and elegant Greek goddess; beautiful and eternal. This is the type of woman which inspires Gulhan's collections.
The lines are clean cut and simple, with soft flowy fabrics, loose fitting and colourful flowery prints with highly feminine nuance. Her mission is a continuous search in the past, in Art and all its beauty. I have only known this brand for a few months now. I wore a pair of her fabulous flowery shorts for the very first time at the Convivio's inaugural evening on the 7th of June.
I adore her creations, I find them incredibly chic. I feel like I've taken a step back in time, walking through a colourful and glamourous past, which magically brings you back to the present and the future.
Only a few, but essential accessories. I like the art déco bouquet necklaces' special effect; a necklace I bought in London a few years ago. It seems as though its one in itself, blossoming from the dress itself. And it is in this way that I wanted to interpret Gulhan Ozer's wonderful sheath dress.

INDIAN POP BIKINI

Un anno fa, ho dato al bikini un mood decisamente rock. Stavolta invece ho voluto interpretare il bikini in  versione " indian pop".  La collana di perline, i sandali, i bangles, lo stile degli orecchini e i colori arancio verde, hanno tanto il "sapore della mia amatissima India" . Il tocco pop, invece per gli occhiali in gomma  e il micro copricostume caratterizzato dalla lavorazione "laser cut". Un mix&match che funziona e mi piace molto. Certo, risulta impensabile e per niente pratico, agghindarsi cosi' per andare in spiaggia. Ottimo spunto invece per un party al mare "hippie beach", dove ci si può tranquillamente sbizzarire con colori e accessori... L'importante non esagerare mai con trucco effetto "mascherone di cera"  ed eccessiva abbronzatura: al mare sono decisamente out, quindi per niente cool ;-) !

A year ago, I gave my bikini a rather rock look. This time I wanted to give my bikini an "indian pop" look instead. The pearl neckalces, the sandals, the bangles, orange and green earrings really gave it the taste of my beloved India. A touch of pop with the rubber sunglasses and the micro beachrobe characterised by the "laser cut". A mix&match which works well and which I like very much. Ofcourse it results unthinkable and impractical to go to the beach like this. However it's an excellent idea for a "hippie beach" party, where you can happily indulge yourself with colours and accessories... The important thing is not to exaggerate with  "wax work" make-up and an excessive suntan: these are definately out at the beach, and hence not cool ;-) !

YELLOW GLAM

Nell'antica Grecia, il giallo era il colore dei pazzi che, per farsi riconoscere, erano costretti a vestire di giallo. In Oriente il giallo simboleggia il sole, la fertilità e la regalità. In Europa un fiore giallo è spesso simbolo di tradimento. (quindi per quanto bella sia, meglio non regalare una rosa gialla! )

 Qualsiasi sia il suo significato simbolico, il giallo è tra i colori più cool  di quest'estate. Facile da abbinare a tantissimi altri colori, ( non al nero però, " l'effetto apemaia" non è per niente glam) ha il dono di ravvivare e illuminare immediamente un'intero outfit.

Lo chemisier giallo di Nara Camicie, curato e ricercato nei dettagli, è pratico e comodo, perfetto per un look sporty glam da giorno. Si abbinano bene gli stivali "indianini" in pelle "effetto used" di Karma of Charme. Il gambale è in cotone lavorato, le fibbie arricchite da applicazioni di borchie. Cuciti interamente a mano, sono meravigliosamente comodi e morbidissimi, ve lo garantisco! ;-) Questo modello di stivaletti, ( decisamente meglio se indossati senza calze) si valorizza ancora di più, se abbianato con i vestitini o con gli  shorts, regalando così al look uno spirito un pò "gipsy" !
 Accessorio irrinunciabile e indispensabile  per un vero look estivo sono gli occhiali da sole. Cool , divertenti , innovativi e iper-tecnologici quelli che indosso  di  AL E RO, connubio perfetto di moda e design... ;-)

In Ancient Greece, yellow was the colour for lunatics, and so that they could be recognized, they were forced to wear yellow. In the Far East, the colour yellow symbolizes the sun, fertility and royalty. In Europe, a yellow flower is often the symbol of betrayal (so as beautiful as it may be, it's best not to give someone a yellow rose!)

Whichever is its true meaning, yellow is amongst one of the coolest colours for the summer. Easy to match with many other colours (not with black though, as it gives a "bee" effect which is not at all glam) it has the gift of livening and bringing light to an entire outfit.

The yellow chemise made by Nara Camicie, which has a great attention to detail, is practical and comfortable, and perfect for a daytime sporty glam look. Karma of Charme's Indian style leather boots with a used effect match it perfectly. The bootleg is cotton and the buckles are enriched with studs. Sewn entirely by hand, they are incredibly comfortable and soft. I guarantee it! ;-) This design of boots (much better if worn without socks) is emphasized even more if matched with short dresses or with shorts, giving the outfit a "gipsy" feel ... ;-)
An accessory that cannot be renounced and essential for a real summer look are sunglasses. The cool, fun, innovative and hyper-technological  ones I'm wearing are AL E RO, a perfect union between fashion and design ... ;-)

HIPPIE CHIC

Uno dei mood più classici e facili “da copiare” e interpretare per l’estate, è sicuramente quello dell’Hippie Chic. La ricerca della totale libertà, identificava il movimento Hippie, che ha avuto inizio negli Stati Uniti nel corso degli anni sessanta, diffondendosi poi in tutto il mondo. I principali elementi che caratterizzano questo stile sono : stampe floreali, jeans a zampa, abiti lunghi dai colori vivaci, maxi borse a tracolla in tessuto, accessori coloratissimi. Chic, termine di origine francese, letteralmente tradotto significa “elegante”. L’elemento fondamentale che caratterizza l’eleganza, sta in una sola parola: semplicità! Basta solamente qualche piccolo dettaglio gioiello, non fare un uso spropositato di bracciali e collane, ed ecco che lo stile Hippie diventa anche Chic ! In quest’outfit ho interpretato l'Hippie Chic in versione “mare”: un lungo e leggerissimo abito verde lime, bangles e bracciali, una borsa tracolla a “rete” e assolutamente sandali flat gioiello, necessari e indispensabili per quando si indossano abiti lunghi estivi. Il mio tocco “creativo”?:  un foulard ( accessorio must dell’estate) stampa floreale multicolor, annodato in testa, che “regala” all’outfit quel non so che di “allure vintage".

L'Hippie Chic è stato da sempre uno dei miei stili preferiti, perché con pochi e semplici pezzi si ha la possibilità di creare una serie di divertentissimi outfit, adatti per varie occasioni; basta semplicemente “giocare” con gli accessori e non esagerare. La maxi bag va benissimo per il giorno , ma se vogliamo un look Hippie Chic per la sera, perfetta una clutch, o una piccola tracolla full paillettes. L’eleganza è semplicità: “spesso togliere è meglio che aggiungere”, così diceva la maestra indiscussa dello stile Coco Chanel …


One of the most classic and easiest looks to follow and interpret for the summer, is definately the Hippie Chic one. A seach for total freedom identifies the Hippie  movement, which started in the United States in the 1960's, spreading soon across the world. The main elements which characterize this style are: floral prints, bell bottoms, brightly coloured long dresses, huge fabric shoulder bags, colourful accessories. Chic, a french word meaning elegant. The main element that characterises elegance is just one word: simplicity! All that is necessary is a small jewel. Don't overdo the use of bracelets and necklaces, and here your Hippie style also becomes Chic ! In this outfit I interpreted Hippie Chic in a more beach version: a long and comfortable lime green dress, bangles and bracelets, a fish-net shoulder bag and bejewelled flat sandals, practical and essential for when you wear long summer dresses. My creative touch? A floral printed foulard (a must-have for this summer) tied around my head which gives the outfit something rather "allure vintage".

L'Hippie Chic has always been one of my favourite styles because with just a few simple items you have the possibility of creating a series of fun outfits, perfect for any occassion. You simply need to play with accessories but without exaggerating. The maxi bag is ok for the daytime, but if you want a Hippie Chic look for the evening, a clutch or small sequined shoulder bag is perfect. Elegance is simplicity: "sometimes taking away is better than adding" is what the undisputed teacher of style, Coco Chanel used to say ...

Ciao a tutti, finalmente ho avuto l'immenso piacere di indossare le favolose All Star by Muffinonline.it e Lab16 che rivisitano questo mito Americano con diverse lavorazioni custom per un prodotto unico ed inimitabile. Questa versione è realizzata con una finitura di borchie sulle parti laterali e a teschi nel retro. L'outfit che ho pensato e' rock/ metropolitano, con un "tocco ironico e frizzante" e perchè no, anche un po' vintage, perfetto con i gioielli delle collezioni Skulls e Stars di Kettlebell Jewels Italy, trendy e cool per un look grintoso e assolutamente rock ;-)

Hello everyone, finally I had the immense pleasure of wearing a pair of fabulous All Star by Muffinonline.it and LAB 16 who revisit this american legend with a variety of different custom made elaborations, to make them unique and inimitable.This version has been created with studs on the sides and a skull on the heel of the boots. The outfit which I chose to wear is rock/metropolitan, with and "ironic and fizzy touch" and why not, a little vintage too. It is perfect with the Skulls e Stars di Kettlebell Jewels Italy collection of jewellery which is trendy and cool for a pushy and absolutely rock look :-)

CEZANNE @ PALAZZO REALE MILANO

La mostra a Palazzo Reale vuole essere un omaggio al grande maestro originario di Aix-en-Provence e alla sua straordinaria e personalissima maniera pittorica che, poco compresa e molto osteggiata durante la sua vita, tanta influenza ebbe invece sugli artisti dei movimenti successivi come il Cubismo e il Surrealismo.

The exhibition at Palazzo Reale pays homage to the great master, orginally from Aix-en-Provence and to all his extraordinary and very personal artistic works of art, which were barely understood and very much opposed to during his life. However he had a great influence on artists from successive movements like Cubism and Surrealism.

H&M SHOWROOM IN MILANO

E' stato inaugurato il nuovo showroom del brand svedese a Milano in Via Borgogna 5. Uno spazio di 230mq comprensivi di un’ampia sala espositiva, di un’area lounge e di alcuni uffici. In un contesto architettonico in cui gli elementi classici della vecchia Milano si fondono con il design scandinavo, per dar vita a un atelier dal sapore contemporaneo, trova la sua collocazione ideale la collezione Autunno/Inverno 2011. Il bianco degli arredi è esaltato dalla luminosità naturale dello spazio, dove soluzioni inaspettate si offrono alla vista dei visitatori che potranno ammirare le collezioni H&M e usufruire di una lounge area wireless.

The new showroom of the swedish brand was inaugurated in Milan in Borgogna Road 5. An open space of 230sq including a vast openspace showroom, an area for relax and offices.  The Autumn/Winter 2011 collection finds itself within architectural setting, where the classical features of an old Milan merge with the scandinavian design, which gives it a taste of atelier with a contemporary twist. The white furniture is enhanced by the natural luminosity of the openspace, where unexpected feaures are offered to the visitor; here they'll be able to admire the new H&M collection and make use of the the wireless lounge.

MY BURLESQUE

Ecco il mio burlesque rivisitato in versione punk-chic! Come in tutti gli altri shooting anche in questo non è mancato il divertimento ma è stato sicuramente molto più impegnativo del previsto! Da febbraio è iniziata la ricerca: pensare ad una location alternativa, al giusto outfit e agli accessori sempre importanti,specialmente per questo servizio. Inizialmente qualche difficoltà sulle pose ma poi tutto è venuto spontaneamente.
Abbiamo scelto queste foto su 370 scatti. Cosa ne pensate :) ?

Here is my version of burlesque in a punk-chic version! Like in all the other photoshoots, the element of fun did not go amiss, but it was definately more demanding than expected! The research started back in February: to think up an unusual setting, an outfit and the always very important accessories, especially for this photoshoot. Initially I had a few difficulties with the poses, but then it all came spontaneously to me. We have chosen these photos amongst the 370 we shot. What do you think :) ?
