BLACK & GRUNGE

The mood for this outfit is inspired by the grunge style. Music has in many different ways influenced the world of fashion: this also goes for the word grunge, a term thought up at the beginning of the 90's by some american journalists in order to identify a certain type of music born in Seattle and which saw Nirvana as the most well-known interpreter of such music. It basically stands for a style which is not very well-groomed, but messy, dirty and shabby; I have never really liked excesses, although I adore taking and analysing "new" moods in order to "play" and personalise them. The Adidas SLVR mini bomber is enriched with a maxi zip which sort of reminds us of the legendary 80's. The long Relish t-shirt enriched with sequins is very rock. Black leggings and the new version of Dr Martens in patent with a "heel" give the outfit the right grunge/chic mix. A fun touch is added with the Mini Pà "Normal but special" by Le Pandorine bracelets and the spiral La Fata bracelets with skulls. To finish off, and break off the all black outfit, is the very original china blue Freitag bag (a very fashionable colour) made from sheets from recycled trucks, perfect for a day look ;-) !

OUTFIT POST : 3 IN 1

Come fare in questi casi "disperati" :-) ?

Three events in three different times of the day. Not having the chance to pop back home to get changed. What do you do in these desperate situations? Simple: Just as long as you start off with a little black dress (always a faithful friend) and change coat and accessories.
For the morning, ontop of my velvet and viscose Gazel dress I wore a jersey, jacquard print coat (also by Gazel) with the fun Le Pandorine by Mad shopping bag. Big black sunglasses and open toe suede wedges with ankle strap by Zara.
This winter red is  must-have colour for the season, which when matched correctly is elegant and chic. For the afternoon Chanel event, I decided to wear a ¾ sleeve red coat; a decisively 60’s Laura Mancini look. I wanted to add a special chic and retrò touch with the woollen cloche hat; tweed with a leather strap by Marzi Firenze.
For the evening, someting that sparkle never does any harm. Therefore I changed my shoes and wore some Miu Miu suede mary jane platforms with glitter details. A rigourously smaller bag for the evening, and the one I chose was a python maxi pochette by Beirn.
In all three “changes” I always wore the handmade Criselle Creazioni jewels, made by my dear friend Ceristiana Ciuti. Simple and sophisticated, and perfect for any moment in the day.
And it was in this way, that “equipping” myself in the right way was able to create my 3 in 1 outfits for different occasions in the day….simple, don’t you think?! ;-)

EASY & GLAM STREET STYLE

Per finire i bracciali: accessorio sempre "piu' must" e cool.

The multicoloured, Zara, woollen "used" effect jumper embellished with micro sequins  and the very original Marcucci Moda leggings, characterized by a combination of two fabrics (eco-leather on the front and viscose on the back). An easy outfit ideal for daily use, without ever foregoing the glam! But as always, it's the accessories that make the difference and in a certain way "decide" the mood for every look. I love hats, especially in this season. The one I am wearing is cloth with a delicate net and satin rose. The maxi bag is a must-have for everyday use, and perfect for citylife. My canvas V73 Travel Italy has become my faithful companion for all my travels and adventures. Practical, comfortable and versatile, perfect for all sorts of occassions and it matches every outfit.
I bought the suede, wedge, tie-up boots last winter from the Top Shop website (one of my favourite websites for safe and original online purchases). To finish off the bracelets: an accessory which with the passing of every day has becoming more of a "must-have" and cool. After the huge success of Le Pandorine's bracelets this past summer,(a brand well-known for its printed ironic and fun phrases)   has once again proposed the bracelet in a soft rubber chain, with very cute "bag" charms in nuance. In the new autumn-winter 2012-13 version the phrase "Normal but special" is present. Alongside this, I wore the Creattiva bracelet (by Imma Lazzaro) which is in satin with a mini skull. It has now become the well-known "Love Boat" by MIa's. The one I'm wearing is grey; one of the new colours introduced for this season by the creator Alessia Novelli.
In short a low-cost outfit, easy for all and  that can be interpreted in a variety of different ways ;)

Le Pandorine and Miss Italia 2012: fashion and beauty, almost a casual encounter, which has become a perfect union. It is an extremely high quality product, glam and at an affordable price. A bag is always a cult object for any woman. Thought up and created for an vast age target, it adapts itself to many different looks.
Finally (with great excitement) I get to meet Manuela and Chiara, who are the faces of LE PANDORINE.
“Team work has always been the winning weapon. Our office is mainly made up by women. At the beginning none of us had a defined position within. We all did a bit of everything. But as time passed, given the great volume of work, we were forced to give ourselves extremely defined roles.” Manuela takes care of the commercial aspect and Chiara the style aspect.
The bag becomes a means of communication with the outside world: the expressions are the brands selling point, to which each woman can identify her own personality. I ask Manuela and Chiara how they thought up the expressions in the phrases they use (in such a difficult moment, where humour is not exactly positive for all). “The aim is to inspire courage, to be ironic about life and to never give up!”
The bags represent the true LE PANDORINE collection, but there are also the brand new rubber, colourful bracelets, which with its fun charm identify the brand. Idea, originality and a decisively low cost, they have made their bracelets a “must have”. There are also mini dresses with prints by the well-known illustrator Maddalena Sisto (which with her designs tells a story of over 30years of fashion and costume for famous periodicals such as Vogue) which form the capsule collections for this new autumn-winter 2012-13 season. “We have fun with doing small things. Every woman can create and freely personalize her entire look. We were born with bags, and it is not our intention to make as many pieces as possible. It is right that everyone does their own job!”
In these photos you’ll see the interview with Manuela and Chiara and the aspiring Miss that are wearing Le Pandorine, and us bloggers who had lots of fun posing for this fitting in a magnificent funfair in Via Verdi in Montecatini. A big thankyou to Marcella who this time had to photograph four bloggers, all with very different styles and needs :-) We really should award her with the “Miss patience and super click” sash ;-)

NEW MODERN VINTAGE

An outfit with a vintage spirit, but it isn't like that at all. There are items such as the Gazel parasol and the Luckylu dress that bring us back in time. The parasol has very ancient origins: the very first designs date back to the beginning of the XIII century A.C. Still not completely understood, it represented an uncomfortable accessory to take around. It's only with the arrival of the XVIII century, thanks to technological advances, that it became lightweight and easy to handle. It is in this way that it has become an essential accessory and fashion item. With the passing of time, the umbrella became an essential accessory and useful for facial protection against the sunshine in order to maintain a very candid skin, e requisite for all women in the XIX century.
The dress seems like a petticoat and reminds us of the 1940's. "Chaste, romantic" and very feminine, with embroidery details. Even the python sandals by american stylist Sam Edelman have a retrò effect. The earrings are however modern with simple clen-cut lines, which enhance the bold and vivacious umbrella colours. "Le Pandorine" scented rubber bracelets which are like chains and the Secretly by Briel shiny steel earrings with interchangeable elements.
Therefore a mix of elements inspired by the past, but with hint of contemporary, for a perfectly balanced modern vintage look :) !
