LOUIS VUITTON & YAYOI KUSAMA

LOVE FOREVER.

Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese artist, across  her mini collection for Louis Vuitton wants to emanate the message of love.
Shoes, bags, spotty scarves.....just like the dots she saw in her very own eyes at her parents house, when as a child she realised she suffered from hallucinations.
The artist's entire collection is on show at the Whitney Museum in New York until the 30th of September.
Today Yayoi Kusama is 83 years old and after having designed 416 worldwide shop windows for the Maison, she has always repeated these words to the journalists: .."there are things that you can buy with money, others that you can't buy. You cannot buy spirituality" ... and it is in this way that with her anticonformist spirit that she continues to touch through art.
