SCHOOL OF GLAM : FoxLife & Glamour portano in tv la vera moda

School of Glam in onda su Fox Life tutti i lunedì alle 22.45 a partire dal 19 novembre 2012.

Yesterday, 7th November in the wonderful location of Terrazza Aperol in Piazza Duomo in Milan, Fox International Italy and Edizioni Condè Nast, presented the production School of Glam. It’s a question of style is the new tv format which sees the participation of the most read monthly magazine in Italy, Glamour, which infact this year celebrates 20years of editorials.
There are two exceptional presenters: the Glamour casting director Danilo Di Pasquale and the fashion consultant Uberta Zambeletti. The aim of the programme is to test two aspiring stylists who challenge one another, firing clothes and accessories in order to create a perfect outfit. Each episode will focus on a theme chosen by the presenters, to which the contestants will have to inspire themselves to create the most apt look.
For the right amount of allure, neither make-up or hairdresser can go amiss. The best creations will walk the catwalk in order to be evaluated by Uberta and Danilo and afterwards an additional judge, who’ll come from Glamour’s editorial staff will either change or confirm the outcome of the challenge. Paola Bonazzi (fashion director), Paola Centomo (glamour director) and other important figures from Glamour will alternate places for this role as  “super judge” in the finals, and will award the winner with the sought-after title stylist for a day.
Three main sponsors:  L'Oreal Paris, gioielli e orologi Morellato and Land Rover.
Yesterday a small sketch of the programme was shown and I can assure you that it really is fun but more importantly realistic (I found myself 100%). The contestants go around different showrooms looking for their “pieces” that will perfectly represent the mood chosen by the presenters. I asked Danilo how much their comments/advice influenced the contestants decisions: “The absolute protagonists of the show are the contestants. Neither myself or Uberta have ever intervened in their decisions/choices. They have always fended for themselves, following their own personal tastes.”
A truly glam adventure, a programme which in my opinion will be hugely successful and who knows if they’ll think about a second season, seeing that I let the opportunity slip on this occasion (I was infact called for the casting but was unable to attend). Maybe next time will be the right time ;-)
